INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY FOR TOURNAMENTS:
In the case of inclement weather, bowling may be rescheduled based on a case by case scenario.  If the bowling center does not open due to inclement weather, bowling will be rescheduled.  You will be contacted if the bowling center does not open.  If the bowling center does open during inclement weather, but you feel it is not safe for you to travel, rescheduling will be permitted upon request by calling Tim Rutz.  My number is 618-654-9840 (home) 618-401-8035 (cell).

Since only half of the 2020 OPEN & WOMEN'S Tournaments were completed due to restriction enacted by the Governor of Illinois, the GCBA Board of Directors voted to conduct the 2021 tournaments at the same locations as the 2020 tournaments.

The 79th annual OPEN GCBA Handicap Tournament and 3rd annual WOMEN'S Handicap Tournament  starts February 20, 2021 with the team event at Grantfork Bowl.  Singles and Doubles starts on February 27th at 4th Street Lanes in Greenville. You may bowl singles and doubles as often as you desire. However, you can cash only once in singles. In doubles you can cash more than once with different partners. This is in accordance to USBC Rule 315.  This tournament is open to all GCBA members.

This year’s OPEN Tournament will use last season’s (2019-20) highest United States Bowling Congress (USBC) average with a minimum of 21 games. If you did not have a 21 game average last season, you must use your highest USBC average – with 21 games or more – as of January 1, 2021.  If you were unable to establish a qualifying tournament average due to COVID or any other reason, please contact Tim Rutz.  With your cooperation, we will assign a fair average for this year's tournament.  All others bowl scratch unless other provisions were made.

You can find your highest USBC average at www.bowl.com. Click on "Find a Member" on the Home Page.  Search for your name, click on "League/Average," and find your highest average with 21 games from 2019-20.  You must be a current USBC Member to use this function.

You can find your highest GCBA average by clicking on the average tab at this Web Site.

Entries close and must be mailed by February 10, 2021.

Get your entry in early to get your desired date and time. All entry blanks and correspondence should be sent to the GCBA, 2116 Salmon Drive , Highland , IL 62249. You may also reserve a date and time by calling Tim Rutz at 654-9840.

The GCBA Women's Tournament will be held in conjunction with the GCBA Open Tournament using the same locations and shifts on opposite ends of the bowling centers.  The Women's Tournament is open only to GCBA Female members.

This Women's Tournament will use last season’s (2019-20) highest United States Bowling Congress (USBC) average with a minimum of 21 games. If you did not have a 21 game average last season, you must use your highest USBC average – with 15 games or more – as of January 1, 2021. If you were unable to establish a qualifying tournament average due to COVID or any other reason, please contact Tim Rutz.  With your cooperation, we will assign a fair average for this year's tournament.  All others bowl scratch unless other provisions were made.
