Welcome to the official website of the Greater Carlyle USBC Bowling
Association (GCBA). The GCBA was founded for the purpose of uniting in
a central organization and all qualified members of bowling leagues
bowling in certified establishments located in the following cities in
the State of Illinois: Bartelso, Breese, Trenton, New Baden,
Mascoutah, Highland, Grantfork, Greenville, Vandalia, and Salem.

The new GREATER CARLYLE BOWLING ASSOCIATION As
of August 1, 2018 the Greater Carlyle Bowling Association will
provide services for its men, women, and youth bowlers. In
addition to an awards program for all bowlers, the GCBA will offer
numerous tournaments for all of its members. We will offer a
Scratch Tournament and an Open Handicap Tournament for all our members
as well as a Senior Scratch Tournament for all of our members over the
age of 50. In addition, our female bowlers will also have their
own tournament. Our Youth Bowlers will have their own
tournament as well.

77th ANNUAL GCBA HANDICAP TOURNAMENT
77th Annual GCBA Handicap Tournament will be held March 2, 2019 through
March 31, 2019. Team Event will be at V&H Recreation in
Breese. Singles & Doubles will be at Vandalia Bowl in
Vandalia. This tournament is open to all GCBA Adult Members.
The GCBA Women's Tournament
will be held in conjuction with the GCBA Open Tournament at the same
locations and times on opposite ends of the bowling centers. The
GCBA Women's Tournament is open only to Female GCBA members.
GCBA SENIOR SCRATCH CLASSIC
The 2018 GCBA Senior Scratch Classic will be held on Sunday, November 4th at 11:00 AM at Mascoutah Lanes.

2018 GCBA Scratch Classic will be held on Sunday, December 9th at 11:00 AM at Vandalia Bowl.

Greater Carlyle Bowling Assocation will continue to provide awards for the 2017-18
season. Bowlers can earn an acrylic statue for bowling 100
pins over their average, for bowling 11 strikes in a row in one game,
for bowling a 299 game, a 300 game, or an 800 series.
Congratulations LAYLA WORD from Salem High School and BRANDON MUNIE
from Highland High School for being selected as the 2017-18 GCBA
Scholarship recipients. Each of them will receive a $500
scholarship from the GCBA.
2018 GCBA HALL OF FAME/AWARDS BANQUET
Wayne Anderson from Highland, Scott Feist from New Baden, and Larry
Wobbe Breese for being the newest inductees into the Greater Carlyle
Bowling Association Hall of Fame. They will be inducted into the
hall of fame at the 2018 Greater Carlyle Bowling Association Hall of
Fame/Awards Banquet on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Michaels
Honor score bowlers and
tournament winners from the
2017-18 season will also be honored at the banquet and should have received their invitations. The event is open to the
public. Tickets are $15 in advance and can be reserved by calling Tim Rutz at 654-9840.
